Ramble. Focus. Ramble.

The Two Evils

The two types of evils that exist in the world are moral evil and natural evil. Moral evil is the evil that originates form human will. It has everything to do with human beings. It includes the harm we do to others as a result of jealousy and hatred. Natural evil is the kind of evil that originates from God’s will. It includes all the suffering caused by tornadoes, hurricanes, tsunamis, floods, droughts, earthquakes, diseases, crashes an all other events that are beyond human control.  Moral evil in a way allows us to believe that human will does exist and that brings in the question of freedom of evil. However, we know that the problem of free will also exists. Some philosophers consider freedom an illusion and believe that all is predestined, and others advocate that human beings are free to make their own choices. Therefore, either moral evil is indirectly naturally evil but it is disguised as if it comes from humans. Whereas its origin may also be with God and he indirectly controls it. Which is why if He is omnipotent He can prevent it but the problem is that He does not.
